1.
Machinist Action Changes in Dawntrail
Listed below is all known information about the changes to the Machinist job in Dawntrail. Pleasenote that Square Enix has significantly overhauled jobs between showing them in the Producer Live Letter,Media Tour, and action trailer. All of the listed information is thus subject to change.
Listed below is a showcase from the Job Actions Trailer featuring a collectionof battle actions for Machinist.
Additionally, the following information was also revealed in theProducer Live Part 81:
- To allow easier heat managment
Barrel Stabilizer will no longer grant heat, instead ifwill grant a free use of
Hypercharge.
Drill will now come with two charges. This grants us one extra usage per fight, allowsus to pool two uses for raid buffs, and allows for more flexible usage which would reduce the chance of driftingfrom a miss-timed
Hypercharge
Tactician will have its effectiveness increased from 10% to 15%. This goes for Bard and Dancer too.
Second Wind will have its effectiveness increased an unknown amount.
(Please note: this is based solely on what we've seen from Benchmark Trailer, Job Action Trailer, and the PLL from today.We won't know more accurate information including potencies, etc... until Media Tour info comes out, and even then MediaTour numbers may be different than values in the Expansion when it goes live end of June. There could also be other changesto other Machinist actions that have yet to be announced.

Machinist Action Changes in Endwalker
In Endwalker, Machinist iterates on the full rework it received last expansion.It gains upgrades to existing skills and an extra charge of Reassemble. Itscapstone action is a new gadget that deals heavy damage in a line AoE.

New Machinist Weaponskills
Scattergun delivers an attack with a potency of 150 toall enemies in a cone before you and increases Heat Gauge by 10.
Chain Saw delivers an attack to all enemies in a straightline before you with a potency of 550 for the first enemy, and 65% less for allremaining enemies. It also increases the Battery Gauge by 20. This weaponskilldoes not share a recast timer with any other actions.

Reassemble now has 2 maximum charges.
Gauss Round potency changed from 150 to 120.
Rook Autoturret potency changed from 80 to 70.
Rook Overdrive potency changed from 400 to 320.

Wildfire potency changed from 200 to 150.
Ricochet potency changed from 150 to 120.
Tactician recast time changed from 120 seconds to 90seconds.

New Machinist Abilities
Crowned Collider delivers an attack with a potency of 750.The potency increases as Battery Gauge exceeds required cost at time of deployment.The Automaton Queen shuts down after execution. If this action is not used manuallywhile the Automaton Queen is active, it will be triggered automatically immediatelybefore shutting down.

- Enhanced Wildfire potency changed from 200 to 150.

New Machinist Traits
- Spread Shot Mastery upgrades Spread Shot to Scattergun.
- Enhanced Reassemble allows the accumulation of charges for consecutiveuses of Reassemble and has 2 maximum charges.
- Marksman's Mastery increases the potency of Heated Split Shot to 200,Heated Slug Shot to 120, and Heated Clean Shot to 110.
- Queen's Gambit: after executing Pile Bunker, the Automaton Queen willalso execute Crowned Collider.
- Enhanced Tactician reduces Tactician recast time to 90 seconds.
