1) did u use bone barrier straight from the start or was there a transition phase, and if yes when?

2) what makes bone barrier necessary and is the loss from unnatural noticeable?

Went with bone barrier + insta leech from start, wanted to try it after a friend said give it a try. I liked this better. We lose dome damage but it is manageable.

We can go unnatural or any other node with flame + flesh if we want, it is a matter of choice. I think void manipulation + unnatural strength on flame and flesh is also a good call, I like -20 flat chaos res because its pretty strong aswell.

Just some end-game league specific advice for this go around...

Ventor's gamble is slept on atm with the mana reservation which lets us slip on malevolence (or another defensive aura if you get the +17%+ mana res from helm).

Malevolence doesn't make that much of a difference, but more dmg is more dmg.

Spectres: Tiger (haste + frenzy charges - low uptime), Miscreation (Atk spd), Warlord (vitality + endurance charges), Forest Warrior (Onslaught + culling)

We now don't have to run vitality or haste with this setup. Onslaught is a nice to have for movement speed and faster mapping. You still want vaal haste as it instantly kills any boss.

Early game I played around with Guardian turtle which gives 5% pdef + determination aura. I miss the turtle...

They removed fortification from Naval Officers which is why they are not crazy expensive anymore. (It used to stack with Kingmaker for +20 fort stacks).

I don't use Ancient suffering b/c I always run animate guardian with +1 curse + temp chains on hit. Combine this with the anti-crit chest, and you have a ~40C beast. Also, I recommend elemental army support and minion life support usually and they mostly never die.

That being said, I've lost 2 10+ div Animate Guardians to T17s so far. They are still not safe for your Animate Guardians (they die on specific bosses). :( I have yet to lose a 40C AG to T16 or any uber fight.

So far I've died 313 times... maybe one day I'll listen to your defensive style of play and get to 100 again >.> MrsDeath <3

Surandra you do not have green nightmare jewel :O

Your gear resembles pretty much what I used last 2 leagues....except for shield. I always used The Surrender.

I do not plan on using Tiger because I enjoy doing end game bosses...and some maven fights + sirus likes to kill my specs

Also does the placement in your brand setup matter?

Like brand has to be 1st gem, then desc, offering and last despair?

I know... I keep telling myself I will buy one... and then I don't.

Spectres don't die on uber Maven or Sirus anymore as long as you keep spamming SRS.

Brand goes clockwise through the sockets, so you just have to make sure arcanist -> desecrate -> Offering -> Despair. If you put despair after arcanist, you have higher despair uptime for clearing trash, but lower offering up time.

Idk if im confusing myself here or misread.

Void manipulation is a green skill gem.

Are you thinking of void beacon?
