If you've ever thought of living a life of a Pirate or a Marine, the Arcane Odyssey game on Roblox is perfect for you. The lego-styled game lets you explore different islands while sailing the giant Bronze Sea. While there are many enemies you can fight, the game also revolves around a main story.

As you progress, the game will reveal the treacherous nature of the life on seas since it punishes you for being careless. Even if you're sailing in the open sea, there are many dangers lurking as NPC Pirate ships are waiting for a chance to attack you.
How To Get Started In Arcane Odyssey
Once you load into Arcane Odyssey, you'll see three slots where you can start a new game, and the progress for this will be saved in the slot you selected. After selecting the slot, you'll see a screen that will let you customize your character. You can choose different colors and designs for your hair and clothes.
You can't make more than three saves unless you buy a pack with Robux from the game's shop. Though you can delete one of the previous saves by selecting the Erase button.
The next step is to choose your preferred magic when the screen shown above appears. Keep in mind that each magic has the same set of abilities that unlock as you level up your stat. Though there are two major reasons every magic is different apart from their visuals:
- When you click on a certain magic, you'll be able to see its speed, size, damage, and destruction at the bottom. Ideally, you'd want to focus on the first three stats as the destruction doesn't help you as much in the game.
- The second difference is how magic types react to each other. For example, Water and Ice can freeze the enemy, while applying Wood to Fire increases the damage dealt.
Think carefully before selecting the magic since you can't change it after starting the game. Though you can unlock new magic when you progress further into the story. Once you've made your choice, the final step will be to choose your name. You'll see a bunch of names for the first and last part.
You have to choose the name from the ones displayed since the game doesn't let you put a name of your own. This name will be displayed above your character, and it will be used everywhere in the game. You can also randomize them at the bottom.
The game will finally begin after choosing the name, and you'll spawn on the beach shown above after a cutscene. To progress the story, you have to go to the platform marked with the arrow above. You'll find an NPC here who'll tell you how you got to this island. After the dialogue, you have to spawn a Rowboat.
If you look at the bottom left of your screen, you'll see an option called "Dock Rowboat". Unlike other games, you don't have to talk to any NPC to spawn your boat every time. Head out to the sea and look in the direction where there's enough water to spawn your ride before clicking on this button.
When the Rowboat spawns, you can swim to it and hold the jump button to climb up. You'll see the option to start rowing when you look at the seat in the middle of the boat. You have to use this to get to Redwake, a town marked with a blue question mark on your screen.
It's important to remember that the Rowboat moves in the direction opposite of where you're facing. Moreover, you can press the sprint button to row faster, but it will consume stamina.
Once you get to Redwake, you can start your journey in Arcane Odyssey and learn different secrets of the world as you go.
How To Level Up Your Stats
There are many ways to get EXP in the game, and you'll constantly level up if you're doing the main story. The game gives you some stat points every time you level up, and these can be spent to upgrade one of the four stats: Vitality, Magic, Strength, and Weapon. Each stat gives you a specific boost.
Vitality | Increases your maximum health, but decreases the damage dealt. Your maximum health already improves every time you level up, but this stat lets you use Spirit weapons as well. |

Magic | Increases the damage dealt whenever you use magic abilities and allows you to unlock new abilities. You'll also get to use different types of magic with this stat. |
Strength | Increases the damage dealt by your melee and fighting styles. It will also allow you to activate advanced fighting styles. |
Weapon | Increases the damage dealt when you're using any weapon. This will also allow your character to wield advanced weapons. |
It's important to know the route you'd like to take before putting points in these stats. For example, if you want to use magic for battle, it'd be better to put at least 80 percent of your points into the Magic stat. Spirit weapons aren't acquired early in the game, so the Vitality stat isn't required.
The game provides you with one stat reset at the start, and you can use it when you've spent all your points. You'll be able to see the option to reset the stats at the same place where your unspent points appear.
Tips And Tricks For Arcane Odyssey
Arcane Odyssey is one of the most punishing games on Roblox since it doesn't give you anything for free. Here are a few tips that can make your adventure much easier:
- The first two ships you'll get in the game are quite slow, and it will take you a long time to get from one point to another. Swimming can be a better alternative in certain circ*mstances. Whenever you're swimming on the surface, it consumes stamina. If you run out of stamina, you'll start drowning.
- After playing the games for a few hours, you'll learn the craft of cooking from one of the side quests. This will let you place different ingredients inside a pot to make a meal. These meals will usually fill up more hunger than the ingredients combined. This allows you to use the food items efficiently.
- Whenever you get any item in the game, you'll be able to see its worth by clicking on it in your inventory. Sometimes, the Selling Price for an item can be much lower than its worth. This occurs with fish in general, and you can also sell them to any merchant. All the merchants will pay the same price for a specific item.
- The boss fights will give you a hard time from the beginning of the game itself. Each boss in the game is very mobile and they constantly throw different attacks at you. It might benefit you to have a magic build since it's much harder to get close to the bosses, especially in the late game.
- Your ship will take damage if you run into a solid surface, take a cannonball hit, or sail through the rough seas. You have to use a hammer to fix this damage, but it takes a ton of Galleons to do so. Even if your ship gets destroyed and you respawn it, the new ship will have only 75 health.
- You can find random boxes in the sea while you're sailing. Apart from giving you some free Galleons and other items, these boxes also repair your ship to an extent. You can always sail around and get these boxes instead of spending your Galleons for repairs.
