Andrew Joseph 'Andy' Gayette LEMMON Andrew Joseph "Andy" Gayette, 42, Lemmon, died Friday, June 21, 1996, as the result of an automobile accident. Andrew Joseph Gayette, "Andy" to all who knew him, was born March 21, 1954, in Okinawa, Ryukyu Island, Japan, to Joseph and Miyo (Higa) Gayette. In 1955, the family moved to Lemmon, where Andy and his sister, Kathy, were raised. He attended Lemmon schools and graduated from Lemmon High School in 1972.
Andy then graduated from Western Dakota Vo-Tech in August 1973. He worked for one year at Hersrud Implement in Lemmon. Andy then attended the University of South Dakota in Springfield from September 1974 to May 1975. 1 It was there that he met Anita DeJong, and they were married on May 9, 1975, in Springfield. Andy and Anita moved to Lemmon, where he owned and operated Andy's Uptown from June 1975 through 1984.
He operated a radiator business through July 1985, when he began working for Professional Consultation Services in Lemmon. Andy was serving as director of Drug and Alcohol Counseling with PCS at the time of his death. Andy was a member of Lemmon Lodge No. 151, Royal Arch Masons No. 44, Lemmon Commandry No.
25, Yelduz Shrine, West River Shrine Club, and Order of Eastern Star. He was active in Boy Scouts of America, Spencer Memorial Presbyterian Church, Lemmon Fire Department and Lemmon Ambulance Crew. Andy loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, but dearest to his heart was always his family. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Anita; son, Michael and fiance, Michelle Carroll; mother, Miyo, all of Lemmon; sister, Katherine and husband, Don Meink, Crofton, nieces and nephews, Nichole and Michelle Dirks, Jami Larson, Grant Thompson, and Brant and Risa Meink; and numerous other relatives and friends. Andy was preceded in death by his father, Joe Gayette, in 1994.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon and one hour before services at the church. Masonic and family services will be at 7 p.m.

Mr. Busby, a longtime resident of the Black Hills, died Feb. 8, 1996, in National City, Calif. Inurnment will be at Roubaix Cemetery. Lauren 'Laurie' Eberhard Sienkiewicz FORT WORTH, Texas Lauren "Laurie" Eberhard Sienkiewicz, 40, Fort Worth, a former Rapid City resident, died Thursday, May 30, 1996, at a Fort Worth hospital.
Laurie was born Feb. 14, 1956, in Okmulgee, Okla. She moved with her family to in Custer, 1960. S.D., She in 1957 attended and lo- to City cal schools, graduating from Rapid City Central High School in 1974. Following school, she attended USD in Vermillion and South Dakota School of Mines in Rapid City.
On Nov. 19, 1976, Laurie married Ted Sienkiewicz of St. Louis, Mo. They lived in Rapid City and Ellsworth Air Force Base until 1980, when they moved to Houston, Texas. In 1984, they moved to Watauga, Texas, where she lived at the time of her death.
Laurie is survived by her husband, Ted Sienkiewicz, Fort Worth; one son, Paul Sienkiewicz, Fort Worth; one daughter, Becky Sienkiewicz, Forth Worth; her parents, Dale and Liz Eberhard, Omaha, two sisters, Leta Grebe, Rapid City, and Connie Bauer, Laurel, one brother-in-law, Kevin Bauer, Laurel; one niece, Alisha Grebe, Rapid City; two nephews, Gene Bauer and Kyle Bauer, both of Laurel, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service was held June 3, 1996, at Peace Lutheran Church at Fort Worth. Margaret A. Thompson BLACK HAWK Margaret A. Thompson, 79, Black Hawk, died Sunday, June 23, 1996, at a Rapid City nursing home.
Survivors include her husband, James F. Thompson, Black Hawk; one son, Clarence Thompson, Black Hawk; one daughter, Carolyn Anderson, St. Paul, one sister, Vera Harris, Black Hawk; eight grandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT EMERGENCY RULES Notice is hereby given that the South Dakota Department of Agriculture, pursuant to the authority vested by SDCL 1-26 and SDCL 36-72, intends to adopt emergency rules to prohibit entry of grain, seed, equipment, etc. The purpose of the rules is to protect the wheat producers in South Dakota from the possibility of introducing of Karnal Bunt spores into South Dakota from quarantined areas. Also to maintain interstate markets for wheat producers within the state of South Dakota. The reason for adopting the rules is to adopt this quarantine because it finds that the potential movement of Karnal Bunt into South Dakota presents imminent peril to public health, safety or welfare.
The department recognizes that grain and seed movement and marketing is occurring on a daily basis. Therefore, to ensure that infested grain or seed will enter South Dakota, the department determines it necessary to make this quarantine effective immediately. Gessner Pearl A. Gessner, longtime resident of Rapid City, recently residing in Sacramento, died June 14, 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin C. Gessner; and sons, Winton, Lynn and Frank. Mrs.
Gessner is survived by three children, Margaret O'Connor, Phoenix, Jane Bradley, Sacramento, and Paul Gessner, Glendale, one sister, Ora Rudolph, Minnesota; sisters-in-law, Norma Kaeding, Rapid City, Doris Lierboe, Montana, and Bertha Hughes, Minnesota; 14 grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren. Pearl was always an avid gardener and for many years furnished flower arrangements for Calvary Lutheran Church in Rapid City. When she first moved to South Dakota, she taught in rural schools in Pennington County. After raising her children, she worked for a time in the cafeteria at West Junior High School before she and Marlin retired to Florida. Pearl will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

9, 1943, at Elgin Field, Fla. Helen taught school in Volga, Sioux Falls and Elmendorf Air Base, Alaska. She was a Rapid City resident from 1963 to 1994, moving to Mitchell in 1994. She was a member of South Canyon Lutheran Church in Rapid City and the National Guard Officers Wives. Survivors include one daughter, Carol Millan and her husband, Brock, Mitchell; one son, Bob Chalberg and his wife, Beth, Rapid City; and four grandchildren, Becky Millan and John Millan, both of Mitchell, and Ryan Chalberg and Erin Chalberg, both of Rapid City.
