All the more reason to scrap the Income Tax Code, repeal the 16th Amendment and go to the FairTax. The cost of compliance with the Income Tax goes away for everyone and April 15th becomes just another spring day. We pay our taxes when we purchase something new. All the embedded tax on everything we purchase is already there, by this I am talking about all the taxes paid for making something along the production process...as in a house. The embedded taxes on products that go into the house like carpet. The taxes paid on every employee receiving wages in the carpet mill are all built into the cost of the carpet and so on for everything in a house. As that embedded tax is removed, about 23%, the FairTax is implemented to the tune of 23%, and the price of the house or any other product stays the same. Except we no longer pay all the income taxes on money we earn. No estate taxes, no corporate income tax, no dividend tax, no payroll tax, no death tax. We all, and I mean all pay tax to support the Federal Government at the retail level when we buy something new. You get a pay raise to boot...you keep all that you earn...no Federal Taxes, no cost to comply, no records to keep except what you want to keep as a normal business operation. The lobbyists disappear from Washington DC that want a sentence changed in the tax code to benefit them.
