Microsoft has revamped its controversial AI-powered Recall feature due to privacy concerns. Originally set to capture screenshots every five seconds, the feature is now opt-in and includes enhanced security measures like encryption and biometric authentication. Recall's redesign addresses criticism by allowing users to control their data and ensuring screenshots are processed locally without sharing with third parties. This move aims to bolster user trust while maintaining the feature's utility as a digital memory aid.https://lnkd.in/dBwxYn7b

This article touches on a crucial issue in healthcare cybersecurity. If a hospital's cybersecurity practices are found to be negligent, then yes, they should be held accountable. But what happens when a hospital has done everything right and still gets hacked? The fairness of suing them in such cases is questionable. How much negligence is enough? It should depend on whether the hospital had adequate security measures, conducted regular audits, and quickly fixed known vulnerabilities. Balancing accountability with realistic expectations of what hospitals can do to defend against sophisticated cyber threats is essential.

Hospitals are hacked, then sued. Is it fair? newsweek.com

Hey, vulnerability scans are great and should be done, but nothing matches the depth of a pen test conducted by skilled professionals determined to uncover every vulnerability and exploit. There's nothing like the feeling of seeing that remote command prompt cursor blinking, knowing you've successfully breached the system. 😂
